ADT Notifications deliver real-time encounter alerts based on industry-standard HL7 v2 ADT messages transmitted from participating hospital systems. These notifications provide timely visibility into inpatient admissions, discharges, transfers, and emergency department visits for enrolled patients.

HL7 ADT messaging is the national standard for communicating hospital encounter activity. Participating hospitals send these messages to Health Gorilla through established interfaces, enabling you to monitor key encounter events and support care coordination across your enrolled patient population.

ADT Notifications can be used alongside Patient360 Clinical Alerts to expand encounter detection across multiple data sources. Where HL7 v2 feeds are available, ADT Notifications provide the most direct and timely notification method.

How ADT Notifications Work

Participating hospitals send HL7 ADT messages to Health Gorilla in real time as encounter events occur. Each message is parsed and evaluated. If the message references an actively enrolled patient, an ADT Notification is generated and delivered to your configured endpoint.

Activation and Access
